So What!
Too many women are defining their worth by someone else’s definition of beauty, one that changes with trends, filters, and opinions.
At noon today, I happened to catch an episode of The Tyra Show, and I’m glad I did.
The theme of the show was simple but powerful:
SO WHAT!
The message? Embrace who you are. Your body. Your personality. The things you’ve been told to critique, hide, or fix.
Big hips? So what.
Full lips? So what.
Curves, no curves, stretch marks, belly pouch, tall, petite - so what.
The show encouraged women to stop measuring themselves against the unrealistic standards pushed by media and culture, and instead learn to live confidently in the skin they’re in.
And honestly, that message still matters.
Redefining Beauty
Too many women are defining their worth by someone else’s definition of beauty, one that changes with trends, filters, and opinions.
But beauty was never meant to be standardized.
Scripture reminds us that we are:
“Fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139:14)
That means God was intentional. There was no mistake in your design. No accident in your features. No flaw in how He created you.
We are made in the image of the Most High God, and that alone gives us reason to walk with confidence.
Confidence That Comes From Knowing Whose You Are
When your identity is rooted in Christ, it’s no longer about comparison. It’s about purpose.
You don’t have to chase approval.
You don’t have to compete.
You don’t have to shrink yourself to fit someone else’s idea of beauty.
You can stand fully in who God created you to be.
So the next time doubt creeps in, or culture tries to redefine your worth, answer it with two words:
So what.
I know who I am.
I know whose I am.
And I’m walking confidently in both.
