2010: A New Year, A Renewed Purpose

No resolution, no dream, and no plan can truly succeed without God’s guidance, His presence, and the discernment that comes from walking with Him.

We’ve been blessed to see another year.

Every new year feels like an invitation - a fresh opportunity to walk more intentionally in the purpose God has placed on our lives. Many people begin the year with resolutions, plans, and goals, determined to make changes and accomplish more.

Yet, as we’ve all experienced, some goals fade. Some efforts stall. Some intentions never quite take root.

It makes you wonder:
Why do some things endure while others fall away?

No resolution, no dream, and no plan can truly succeed without God’s guidance, His presence, and the discernment that comes from walking with Him.

Scripture reminds us that God is the Author and Finisher of our faith. Anything we attempt apart from Him may achieve results, but it won’t bring lasting fulfillment.

Our purpose on this earth is not just to achieve, it’s to worship God through how we live:
By serving others.
By loving one another.
By honoring Him in our daily choices.

When pleasing God becomes the center of our lives, everything else begins to align.

There are many people with incredible God-given potential, gifts, callings, and opportunities. However, those things can remain unrealized if we spend our lives trying to meet the expectations of people instead of following the direction of God.

Sometimes God’s path won’t look like what others expect.
Sometimes it won’t be understood.
Sometimes it will even invite criticism.

But following Him has never been about popularity, it has always been about obedience.

Even Christ Himself was misunderstood and mocked, yet He remained faithful to the mission set before Him.

If God has begun a work in you, He will bring it to completion. His timing, His process, and His plan are all intentional, even when they unfold differently than we imagined.

The challenge is to trust Him enough to keep moving forward, no matter what.

My prayer is that we develop an unshakable faith, one that remains steady regardless of circumstances, opinions, or obstacles.

A faith that says:
No matter what, I will trust You, Lord.

Let this be the year we live with greater purpose, deeper trust, and a renewed commitment to walk with Him in everything we do.

Happy New Year and may it be filled with grace, growth, and God’s direction.
